Splash Time...

We went to the pool for the first time this year. The Teeple's invited us over to their house for a swim! Addison had a blast! I was worried that Addison was going to be uneasy or afraid of the water! Well, that is not the case at all.....let's just say, she has no fear!!! I think if we would have let her jump off the side of the pool she would have jumped o us in the pool! We had swimmies for her; but, she didn't want them on. I think once she realizes that they will keep her floating without holding on to us she will love them! She didn't want to be in the round float either! She put her face in the pool several times.....we have got to get this child in swim lessons this summer!! Catherine (aka Aunt Cat to Addison), is a great swimmer and teaches swim lessons, was playing with Addison in the pool on Sunday. When Cat was holding Addison it was like she wanted to take off swimming....I took a series of pictures that you will see!! I am looking forward to all the fun times we have outside this summer!! We are such a spring/summer family!! We love being outside & enjoying each other!!! Here's to a wonderful summer......

Party Time.....

Saturday night after our big day on the water, we had Jimmy's 40th birthday!! Happy 40th Jimmy! Then we left Jimmy's party early to go to Donald & Andrea's wedding shower. I cannot believe that we only got one picture from the shower. I thought Nick was taking pictures; but, when I got home that night I saw that he only took one picture.

Here is my one picture from the wedding shower!!!

Cruising around in the Boat

We had a very busy weekend! On Saturday, we had plans to go out in the boat with Michael & Catharine. Addison spent the night off with my parents so we picked her up that morning & then went to meet Michael & Catharine for Addison 1st boat ride!!! We wanted to take Addison out last summer in the boat; but, just never got around to it! So on Saturday, she got her first boating experience! I would call it a hit!! Addison got to see dolphins. And when I say see dolphins....I mean up close!!! One dolphin came right up to the boat. It was so cute, Addison kept saying fish, fish, fish!!! We will work on the word dolphin later!!! I wish that I would have gotten a picture of her face!! She loved running around in the boat while we were not moving! The life jacket on her was so funny & cute. I was worried that she was going to fight with us to get it off; but, she didn't. Towards the end of the boat ride, she was so ready to take it off. Next time we will dock at a beach & let her get out & run around so she can take the jacket off for a while. We just didn't have time because it was getting close to nap time. And well, she needed a nap since we had 2 parties to go to that night......more to come on those parties and the rest of the weekend tomorrow night.

Addison was exhausted from the day.....she had a great time!!! Thank you Uncle Michael & Aunt Cat for taking us out on the boat!!! We had a wonderful time & can't wait until next time!!!

Addison loves her Daddy

Nick and Addison were outside playing the other night while I was cleaning up in the kitchen. After I finished I went outside with my camera & took this sweet picture of the two of them! Addison loves her Daddy!!!

Crayons

Addison loves coloring!!!! I grabbed a few shots of her coloring the other night.

While this picture is not a great picture of Addison, it captures what happens after about 5-10 minutes of coloring. After about 5-10 minutes, she starts to eat the crayon. We then give her a warning then she does it again within about a 1-2 minutes. Then we take the crayons from her. When we take them from her you would think that the world is ending!!! She will try to grab the crayons before I can get them. I may have to try to record it just because it's so funny.

Just a random picture of Addison coloring; but, I thought it was cute! Isn't a baby in her PJ's so sweet!!!

5th Anniversary

Happy Anniversary, Nick! I cannot believe that we have been married 5 years! At times, it seems like just yesterday; but, then on the other hand it feels like we have been together forever! I mean that last statement in a good way.

Nick - Thank you for being such a wonderful husband. I know that there are times that we drive each other crazy; but, that's what makes me love you even more! It so funny how your love changes or a better word would be how your love grows with time. I remember once my Grandmother saying that she loves my Granddaddy; but, her loves is different than it was in the beginning of their relationship. And they have been married for over 50 years so I think they know what they are talking about when it comes to marriage!! Nick - I look forward to us celebrating our 50th anniversary many years from now!! You are my better half....you balance me!!!

Thank you for being so wonderful to me and a wonderful Daddy to Addison. Everyday that I see you with her, it makes my heart melt!! Thank you!!!

To celebrate our 5th anniversary, we went to Vic's on the River! When I got off work that afternoon, I went for a pedi and then came home. When I got home, Nick was there and sitting on the counter was a gift. Nick and I have always thought it was fun to look up with the traditional and modern gift recommendations are for the appropriate anniversary. Then we see if we can find something for the other with that in mind. Well for 5 years, the traditional gift idea was wood and the modern was silverware.

Inside the nicely wrapped gift was a beautiful sterling silver necklace and a sterling silver bracelet. I need to take a picture & post. He did a great job, the jewelry was so pretty and I will enjoy wearing it!! So as you can see Nick went for the "silverware". I on the other hand went for a play on words with "wood." I got Nick golf lessons....(on his certificate I did a play on word about clubs & WOODS. You know isn't there a Wood driver or something like that in golf. Okay now I am showing my stupidity about golf. Anyways, I think he liked the gift idea (thanks to Patrick for helping me come up with the idea)!!

The rest of these pictures were taken with my crappy point & shoot camera. We just snapped a quick shot before leaving for dinner that night. Then I also grabbed a pictures of Vic's and of the river when we went walking on the river after dinner! Nick - thank you for a wonderful 5 years.....I look forward to many, many more!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

Shhh....don't say the word outside....

Addison loves being outside. We now have to be careful that when we say outside that we have full intentions of taking her outside. This weekend, we walked up to the park in our neighborhood to play on the playground. Addison had a blast!!! I had my parents point & shoot camera so I took it up to the park with us and grabbed a few shots!
