Where's Addison?

Where's Addison?
Oh, in the middle of all the pumpkins!! I took Addison to the pumpkin patch at Wilmington Island Methodist Church. This is the same pumpkin patch that I volunteered at as a teenager in the youth group at the church. So when I arrive with Addison it brought back memories of youth group! I feel I am the person I am today because of the leaders & the youth minster (Brian Loper & his wife Susan) that was there when I was younger! If any of you are ready this, thank you for all the time that you put into guiding me & the other youth! I hope Addison has the same thing as I did when she is a little older!! Okay sorry that I got to rambling.....here are some pictures of Addison.....

Halloween Dance...

Sorry this is sideways. When I was recording it, I was not thinking about the fact that I would not be able to rotate it once I uploaded it. Anyways, I thought it was too cute to pass up posting it. Thanks to Aunt Laura, Uncle Buddy, Ben, Sarah, & Caroline for the Halloween CD! Addison loves listening to it as you can tell in the video!!! Also, thanks for all the other Halloween goodies!!! I always have the camera out; but, I only bring the video out some. As you can tell, video is not my thing. Anyways....enjoy & sorry again for having to look sideways. I promise all future video will be horizontal!

8 Months Old

Okay, so I'm a little late getting these pictures up....but better late than never, right? Addison is doing so much. She is crawling very well & getting into everything. Addison pulls up on everything. She knows how to clap. She has started to say dadadada. Of course Nick says she is calling him....we will let Nick think that for now! She is drinking juices out of her sippy cups! She has a total of 5 teeth now. It is amazing the top 3 teeth just came in over night it seems. She is starting to eat more & more table food. Although I must admit that I have not pushed that too much because I am so worried about chocking. She loves oranges! We cut up an orange & give her small pieces, she loves it. I think she likes it because she can feed herself. Addison continues to be such a happy baby!!! She loves to dance!! It is so funny, when a song comes on with a good beat, she starts to bounce to the beat! The ladies at daycare think it is the funniest thing....Nick and I do too!!!! She continues to amaze Nick and I!!!

Light the Night

This was the Light the Night Walk for Leukemia. This is a wonderful cause that raises money for cancer research. This organization hits very close to our families hearts as Nick's Dad lost his battle to cancer and his Aunt Margie as well. So we walk every year in memory of them. This year we had t-shirts made up that showed our support. Thanks Kerri for getting the shirt made...they turned out great!

This is not a great picture of me (at all); but, I decided to put it up anyways since I normally do not get in front of the camera!

Sickness, Sickness, GO AWAY.....

We are glad to see September go & October come!! It seems like most of the month of September, Addison was sick. First we dealt with her UTI & have since found out that she has a minor issue with her bladder & kidney. Urine backs up from her bladder into the tube going to her kidney. We will see a Urologist on October 22nd. The good news for now is that her issue is what is considered a grade II & most of the time "grade II's" correct themselves & will not mean surgery!! We will know more after October 22nd.

Once we finally started to get that situation under control & thought we were feel & clear of all illnesses, Addison got her first ear infection (a double one at that)! Of course a cold went along with the ear infection.

Then just as soon as we thought everything was okay with the ear infection, she gets an upper respiratory infection & we had to start with breathing treatments!! Then the week that she goes back to daycare from the last sickness, we find out that RSV is going around her school. All but she & 2 other children in her direct class have it. I am praying that God protects Addison & keeps her well!!! Please do the same for me & Addison!!!
On top of Addison being sick, Nick and I both have gotten bad colds as well!!! So....we want all the sickness to GO FAR FAR AWAY!!! So, now you know why I have been a little slack the month of September in updating the blog!

Here are a few random pictures that were taken in September....
Addison does this thing were she tries to stand....it is the funniest thing!!!
This is the first time that Addison pulled up on her own. As you may be able to tell, she was trying to get something that she was not suppose to have.....
Addison loves putting socks in her mouth...okay, I know yuck! Nick & I have to be careful about taking our socks off. We have to make sure that we do not leave them laying around after we wear them. It is the funniest thing.....she will put them in her mouth & just carry it around for a little while.

Her big girl overalls....they make her look so much like a little girl & not a baby. :-( She is growing up so fast.....

First Hair Cut

Addison got her first hair cut 2 weeks ago. We just had the back trimmed. It was getting so long & was starting to look ratty (is that a word?). Anyways, her hair looks so much better now & it can all grow at one length!!

I was getting my hair cut that day so Grandma met us & took Addison once she was finished getting her hair cut. She wasn't too impressed about getting her hair cut....
