One long week....

After 4 doctor visits in 4 days, 3 antibiotic shots, starting an antibiotic at home for 10 days we are on our way to felling better. Addison started to run a fever Saturday (the 23rd of Aug) night; but, I thought it was just because she was teething. Well when her fever spiked to 104.5 last Sunday morning, I knew something else was going on. I called our doctor & fortunately he was the one working that Sunday, we headed to see him. We finally discovered that Addison had what we think was a bladder infection & also got a viral infection. As Dr. Shelley said is it possible to get hit by a bus & a train at the same time.....well yes, but unlikely. Poor Addison was hit with both. The good news is that she is doing much better & back to her old happy, smiley little baby!!!! It was so sad while she was sick....she is such a happy baby & to see her not feeling well broke my heart.

Here are a few photos from Alex's photo session that I have been meaning to post for some time now. I took Alex's pictures when he was 3 weeks old....he was so sweet!!!

Addison turns 6 months August 8th!!!

It's so hard to believe that Addison is 6 months old! What has Addison done so far at 6months....she is sitting up by her self. She started eating solids & actual really likes them! Addison's favorite baby foods are squash, green beans, pears, applesauce....okay well she likes all baby foods except peas. I can't say I blame her.....I do not like peas either! Of course, I would not tell her that. She is such a good little eater!!! She is only taking 4 ounces of formula at each bottle feeding. She eats about every 4-5 hours. Addison is also trying to "crawl". She can scoot backwards, turn in a circle.....she just can't figure out how to move forward on her own. I am sure that it's just a matter of time before she figures that one out. She already from time to time gets on her knees when she is trying to reach something in front of her (that only happens when she really wants something). I seem to think she will be crawling soon; but, who knows it could be another few months!!! Only time will tell.....

I'm sure that I am missing other things that Addison can do by 6 months....oh, she can hold her own bottle.....however, she still at this point prefers for us to hold it for her. BUT she can hold it & feed her self. She loves playing with her activity table that Grandma/Lolly got for her!!! She is starting to bang things around just to hear the noise.....she started this when sitting in the highchair at dinner times. She is now sitting in the grocery cart....she really thinks she is a big girl!!! We put her in the grocery cart for the first time this weekend!!! She was like wow...this is like a ride!!! She was looking all around & loved every minute of it!!! She has always been such a curious baby & loves to see what is going on around.

Okay, sorry to give you all this info.....I guess I am trying to record some of what Addison is doing since I have not been so good at filling out her baby book!

Foster turns ONE!!!

This weekend we went to Atlanta for Foster's 1st birthday! Happy Birthday, Foster!!!! It is so hard to believe that Chrissie was in labor a year ago on the 13th! Wow how time flies!!! I can't believe that Addison is 6 months already (I will post her 6 month pictures in the next few days).

Chrissie & I saw this balloon when we were picking up some last minute items for the party! Chrissie knew Foster would love it so we got it! Well, I think Chrissie & I had big balloon eyes! The balloon was so big....we should have gotten him a little smaller of a balloon. Oh, well....he loved it!!!!
Anna feed Addison at Foster's party & I guess Addison had partied too hard. Addison ended up falling asleep in Anna's arms (Anna you have got the touch!) after eating & slept for almost 2 hours! Now if you know my child, she hardly ever sleeps more than 45 minutes during the day for nap times. She looked so sweet in her pretty little dress sleeping so peacefully.

Foster also fell asleep during the party....so I got a picture of him as well....

Dowie got to hold & love on Addison this weekend!!! Don't worry Grandma (or Lolly; whatever you decide), she didn't get all Addison's sugar. She left you a little!! :-)

Chrissie & I took Foster to take his 1 year old pictures on Sunday. Well, we thought the guys were going to help........WELL, they didn't! That's too long of a story to go into on this blog....but that's okay, Chrissie & I handled it. Let's just say it was interesting!! Addison was with us too.
